Your extension request will be reviewed and we will be in touch to let you know the status of your application, or if we require more information to complete your extension request.
If you'd like to automatically extend your pawn send us an etransfer through your online banking to pay@pawnit.ca with your Name, Date of Birth, and Pawn Ticket number(s) included in the description.

How do Pawn Loans Work?List Item 2
Pawn loans are a simple form of collateral credit. Cash is given in exchange for an item that the pawnbroker - that's what we call the person who gives the loan, holds onto as security, or collateral, until it is completely paid back. Once the pawn loan is paid back the item is returned to the customer.

When we assess the value of the item we look at its current value but we make the pawn loan based on the resale value of the item. The type of item being pawned and its condition makes a difference in the loan value as well.

What happens if the loan isn't paid back?List Item 3
We make every attempt to have each and every item that is pawned picked up by the person who pawned it. However, sometimes even after repeated attempts to contact the customer the item goes unclaimed. In that case, the item becomes our property and is put out on the sales floor at competitive prices.

Do you sell stolen goods?List Item 4
We do everything in our power to ensure we're pawning and selling legitimate products. Industry statistics show that less than 0.5 of 1% of all items pawned are deemed to be of questionable ownership. There is no limit to how much you can loan as long as you have the equal value in collateral.
